I think there’s something to be said for fanfiction that loves canon in a way that’s rude. Like thank you for this wonderful thematic tragedy made out of this character’s entire arc ending in death, it was emotionally and intellectually moving, but also fuck you fuck you fuck you they live, this time and every time they live, they never died, their flaws are not their undoing, actually they have no flaws, actually they save everyone, actually who cares about a story, any story, where this one dies, actually i cared about that story so much i made a new one, actually i cared so much i unmade the old one, you gave me morals and i left them for the mortal, but they’re mine now and i will never let them die, actually thank you, actually fuck you, strongly worded letter to follow

A kiss for canon and spit in its face all at once, it’s great

James and Lily marrying and having a child extremely young VS Sirius and Marlene being both afraid of commitment and keeping things “casual” because they’re all fighting in a war and could die the next day, are both valid me thinks…

Comparing the rotations of objects in the Solar System. Just look at them lol.✨🪐

To everyone that’s confused, the planet Venus rotates very very slowly, with a single revolution taking about 243 Earth days, and Mercury rotates slowly, but not as slow as Venus.

I made a baby blanket for a pregnant woman at work and I went back and forth about it like “is this weird? To like hand make something for someone when we’re like friendly acquaintances not like bffs. God why are you so fucking awkward.” Anyway I gave it to her and she said she loved it and in the back of my head I’m like yea she’s nice and probably just humoring the weirdo. Well she texted me a picture this weekend of a scrunchy faced newborn at the hospital wrapped in the blanket I made her. And I’m like. Wow. She loved it so much she took it with her! To the hospital! To give birth! She wrapped her newborn it! I am just so filled with love and joy right now.

People will love the things you make them. Because you thought of them and you cared.

im just crying while scrolling through the mfa’s digitized 18th century drawings which include a really soft and loving drawing of a baby snoozing thats titled “the artist’s daughter” thats just radiating love, and also some very weird German birth certificates from a town in Pennsylvania that a man in 1771 painted mermaids and flowers and lions on

there’s just something about these acts of love through art, man… they’re really getting me tonight.

i can’t explain specifically what about this drawing is making me so emotional, im just having a moment thinking about the fact that this man was another living breathing human like me and 250-ish years ago in france, he sat drawing his tiny baby while she slept, and he is communicating that to me across centuries and an ocean with this image he made, and I can feel the love in my heart that he felt right then.

Uncle Harry

theazkabandreamer:

To Harry, the word Uncle was always associated with purple faces, raised voices and cheap insults.

Yet when Victiore was born, he found himself being thrust into the role by Bill who placed her in his arms saying “and here’s your Uncle Harry,”

Harry cradled the tiny baby in his arms as multiple camera flashes went off. She looked so small and Harry looked at his Niece in wonder.

His Niece. It felt so strange saying those words to himself and he vowed to be a better Uncle to Victiore Weasley than Vernon Dursley was to him.
